The upper and palm are both made of mesh--the palm is reinforced--and the only non-mesh area is the thumb, which is made of moisture-wicking and breathable microfleece for nose and sunglasses wiping. There's also lightweight gel padding on the palm to help your hands stay unbruised, and a low-profile hook-and-loop closure that keeps dirt and grime sealed out.
