• A BETTER FILTER THAT MAKES STRONGER COLD BREW COFFEE: Cold brew experts designed this filter to make professional-quality cold brew in a Mason jar. Our 18/8 stainless steel filter features 200 micron holes, the ideal size for allowing water to circulate and optimal extraction to occur with coarse-ground coffee. Its a radical improvement to those first-generation brewers with fine mesh screen filters, which are more suited to brewing hot coffee with finer grounds. Youll taste the difference.
• KEEPS COFFEE FRESHER THAN THE COMPETITION: Oxidation is the enemy of fresh coffee, so the key is to keep air out. Unlike traditional sit-on-top mesh filters, our next-generation filter rests fully inside the Mason jar, allowing the Mason jars lid to maintain its famous airtight seal. This keeps your cold brew fresher. The intact seal also means the jar stays leakproof, so it's truly portable and means an end to coffee leaking coffee all over your hands, kitchen and clothes.
• NOVEL DESIGN BELOVED BY ITS KICKSTARTER BACKERS: The patent-pending capped-filter design features an ultra-sturdy, dent-resistant 18/8 stainless steel filter, with your choice of color for the food-grade silicone cap. The cap keeps grounds sealed inside the filter, while also working as a shock absorber that prevents rattling and protects the filter. Now you can say goodbye to those flimsy mesh filters that can produce weaker cold brew and easily fray, rip and get clogged up.
• BREWING PROCESS IS SIMPLER THAN EVER: Professional-quality cold brew takes less than a minute to prepare at home. After adding coffee grounds and water, just tighten the lid and rotate the jar horizontally/sideways 2 or 3 times. This "rumble" step activates the brewing process. Then let it sit overnight and your cold brew will be ready in the morning, tasting like a barista made it. Cleanup is even faster than the prep.
• COMPATIBLE WITH WIDE-MOUTH 32OZ MASON JARS (NOT INCLUDED): Product includes a stainless steel filter with food-grade silicone cap and a 100% cotton filter-bag that can be used as an optional second stage of filtration if you brew with fine grounds (remember: coarse grounds are best for cold brew). Compatible with wide-mouth Mason jars only (i.e. not regular mouth jars). The stated 1-quart capacity represents the volume of the Mason jar, not the volume of the filter. BPA free. Dishwasher safe.
