-Materials: Constructed from 350N puncture resistant composite fabrics with an air mesh inner layer, which is wear-resisting and breathable. This throat guard is padded with 4mm thick 70 degree EVA panels at the chest and 6mm thick panels at the should areas to provide a double-layer of protection against thrusts. It fastens with Velcro at the back with one adjustable, elastic Velcro strap.- -Protection: The larynx area features a multilayer protection with 2 1mm-thick plastic panels at the front, 1 shock-absorbing 4mm thick 70 degree EVA panels in the middle and sof-foam on the inside. The protection pad at the chest and the 2 side flaps are partially overlapping to provide provide greater protection to the clavicle areas.- -Function: The tip of a fencing sword can easily slide between the fencing mask bib and gambeson during a thrust, potentially leading to a quite serious injury. These throat protectors, when worn as a complete set with proper gambeson and mask will help to protect the front, the shoulders and sides of the neck in such a scenario.- -Comfort: In addition to great cushioning, the gorget gives a lot of comfort during exercise. The overlay is light in weight while very comfortable and breathable with wearing.
